New England Regional Student Program

Are you an out-of-state student enrolling at ´óÏóÊÓƵ in an academic program that isn’t offered in your state? If so, you could save thousands with the New England Regional Student Program (NERSP). NERSP may be able to provide you reduced tuition rates if the program you want to study isn’t available in your state.

Once you’ve been accepted to ´óÏóÊÓƵ, fill out a NERSP application and send it to our Admissions Office. They’ll take it from there by reviewing your application and letting you know if you qualify. The review process usually takes only a couple of days, so you won’t have to wait long to find out.

Tuition Waivers

´óÏóÊÓƵ offers the following tuition waivers:

Native American Tuition Waiver

´óÏóÊÓƵ waives all or a portion of tuition charges for degree-seeking students who are Maine residents and who can document their membership or ancestry in a federally recognized Native American Tribe. The waiver is equal to in-state tuition charged to the student in a semester less any other grant aid awarded to the student. In addition to completing a FAFSA, the student must complete an ´óÏóÊÓƵ Native American Tuition Waiver Application and submit it to the appropriate tribal office for certification. The completed and certified application must be returned to the ´óÏóÊÓƵ Financial Aid Office. .

Opportunity Maine Tax Credit

The Opportunity Maine Tax CreditÌýreimburses student loan payments for college graduates who live and work in Maine.Ìý For more information, check theÌý and the Maine Revenue Service’sÌý.

Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver

Maine residents who are 65 years or older are eligible for a limited tuition waiver.Ìý The waiver applies to tuition only (not books, lab, or other student fees).Ìý The waiver is for a maximum of 6 credit hours per semester and up to 23 credit hours per person.

Once you’ve enrolled, bring or send proof of your age to the Student Accounts Office and we’ll take care of the rest.

State of Maine – Dependents of Veterans Tuition Waiver

If you are a dependent of a veteran, you may be eligible for waived tuition. To learn more about this waiver, .
